• Sunergy is the Canadian development partner for the Phoenix Composting Toilet, working closely with Advanced Composting Systems of Whitefish, Montana. Canadian installations range from remote parks in British Columbia to rest stations on the Alaska Highway to National Parks in Quebec, plus dozens of residential and private camp installations all over Canada.
• Many of the passive solar homes built in Alberta have had involvement with Sunergy, including the 2010 CMHC Calgary Equilibrium Home. During the '70's and '80's, several of the passive solar homes incorporated insulated window treatments that were in-house products of Sunergy.
• To complement remote composting toilet facilities, Sunergy has become expert in low-energy input greywater treatment solutions and the use of photovoltaic panels for on-site electrical generation.
• Sunergy pre-fabricates and then installs a number of composting toilet buildings each year. Highway rest stations, wilderness parks, and tourist facilities are the most common destinations for these buildings. Being totally self-sufficient, they provide environmentally sensible waste solutions in locations where piped water, storage tanks, and grid electricity are not available or cost-prohibitive.
